Week 1

It's all about finding your way around. The Masters Induction: Introduction to Research Hubs and the Primacy of Sensory Experience was an eye opener to the range and depth of research being undertaken across the School of Art (and in association with other Schools at Cardiff Met), and got me wondering about the possibilities there are for my work. I know that South Wales, its people, history, geology and so much more will always be at the heart of my work - but how does this develop into a unique narrative that can engage an audience and shine a light on the unique combination that makes up South Wales, an area that I am passionate about, and an area that to me tends to underestimate the unique part that it played in the world. Maybe I do have something worth exploring - we'll see!
